cookbook heaven

I have too many cookbooks. This is undeniable. I used to have more, but I gave some away during the last move. Both shelves in the picture have nothing but cookbooks on them! The magazines on the left are Bon Appetit issues. I purchased half of the cookbooks at booksales (FOPAL I love you!), and the rest are wedding gifts, ward cookbooks, and presents from the mum. I'm obsessed. I try not to buy more cookbooks when I'm at booksales, but I just can't help it!!! I haven't made recipes from all of them either. YET. Anyone else have this problem?

Don't awe. Keeps ya out of trouble if there are too many things to do --- as long as you don't have guilt when you are not doing them...like dishes or laundry. I do have a huge dog! He's sick right now... swollen eye and I can't figure out what the problem is... where are you guys living now days?

My mother has an entire bookcase for her cookbooks. She loves reading cookbooks. Even with her collection she checks cookbooks out from the library just for reading. I wouldn't call it a cookbook problem though. I don't think there are any she has that she hasn't used (that is, made a recipe from), but she cooks more than anyone I know.

At the last booksale I was at I picked up a good housekeeping cookbook from the year of my birth. I take in the Cook's Illustrated Magazine, and love it.

I think if you cook, those books are not a waste of space.
